catching up

A lot has happened since I've sat down for some me time. Here's the quick overview. We purchased an old but new to us trailer. Went off for a week of fun with my parents and had a ball. Brody had his tonsils removed..... (pure hell) He re-bled so they went back in and fixed his haauuuge blood clot. They pumped his little belly and they said it was full of old blood. Yummy. Poor kid had been swallowing it all day. (2nd Surgery was at 10:00 at night) Then we've went through pink eye, nasty colds, and brody had his first ear infection since tubes a year 1/2 ago. And now my poor easton has the dreaded cold. Lets just pray it doesn't progress anywhere. I'm exhausted. Overwhelmed, yet at the same time I wouldn't trade it for anything. Literally, an endless supply of money, the perfect house, the perfect life. Nothing compares to the love I have for my family. I tear up just thinking about them. These past few weeks have been rough but I still feel blessed. Here's a few moments i don't want to forget.
* brody's 2 yr old stage. Wow he boggles my mind. I caught him at the fridge holding a gallon of apple juice up to his lips. I absolutely hate sticky floors. Major pet peeve. I grabbed it before he spilled. But he quenched his thirst, mission accomplished.
* his need for me. I am his only true love for now. When he wakes up he calls for me under his door. Cody opened the door the other day and Brody threw himself into a fit. I came to his rescue and asked if he wanted me to open his door. He jumped up, closed the door, and called for me again. I opened his door and he jumped into my arms. I guess I need to be the last face he sees before bed and the first one in the morning. That makes my heart swell.
* easton was such a wreck the other night and cody got him settled down. I knew he was hungry so I had cody pass him to me and I took him into my arms and nursed him right there, in the middle of the kitchen. Precious moments.
* He is an extreme kid. He's either somber or unhappy. He rarely is laughing and smiling. Makes me wonder what we have in store for us. Yikes!! But when he does laugh we drink it all up.
* Austy is the only one who can get Easton to laugh. She has this sisterly love and she can get him rolling. No one compares to her in his eyes. The way she is with Brody is amazing. She loves him so much. They have little sleepovers in 'jue-jues' bed. That is how Brody says sister (jue jue). He has his own lingo and Austy usually had to interpret for me. "He wants a cookie mom, not a popsicle." So special.
* But the one that takes the cake is just yesterday Austy comes to me and asked to watch Raechie's video. My heart sunk. It is so hard for me to watch the movie. The memories come flooding back, such good ones, but man they hurt. The minute i put the movie in I'm sobbing. Austy jumps up into my lap and we cry together. I can see Raechale in Austyn so much. And sometimes I can see Brody's eyes in Raechie's. They both have beautiful big brown eyes. Austyn has heard us talk about Raechale's death and she is putting the pieces together, she asked me why she had to die. Oh, my sweet girl. I wish I could shield you from all of this pain. I love her innocence. My story had always been that Raech was hurt so bad that Heavenly Father took her in his arms and made everything better. She is in Heaven where pain isn't felt. I was always vague. But Austyn has realized someone bad caused this. I was trying to explain about free agency and mistakes. It was messy and beautiful at the same time. She is such a smart girl. Ohh, how I love her. I love that she reminds me of Raech daily.

Motherhood is every emotion on ecstasy. Anger, frustration, exhaustion, love, joy. Its a complete surrender of your heart. Kudos to us!!

Mother's Day and Easton's special day

2 posts in a week. What is up??? Oh, yes I could be catching up on the dishes, vaccuming, or maybe washing Brody's sheets that he just puked in, but nope, here I sit wanting to put up some more adorable pics of my herd. On Mother's Day Cody blessed my Easton. It was great. And then we had a luncheon at a park and it was wicked cold and windy. And on saturday Austy had a kick A gymnastics program. I really wished I would have recorded her moves because as she took off across the stage to do a round off her pants came off. What a good sport. She didn't cry or get too embarrased. She just laughed it off. So here are some memories of this weekend.
They are all out of order but ENjoy!!

Bwahahahaha

I seriously love these hams!

Looking back through the pictures I don't have too many of Easton. What the heck? I'll be posting some more soon. But I can not believe he is 2 months already. I'm so stoked for this summerish weather. The kids are outside all day. They've already got the tan going on. And we've watched The Sandlot like a thousand times. That is a classic. If you haven't seen it, go get it. It screams summer to me. Brody is obsessed with it and Austy can quote it.
"You play ball like a GIRL!!!"
For any of you who still read this, Thanks. I know its been crazy but 3 kids is a life changing experience and I'm still balancing out my time. Not to mention trying to get all the sleep I can suck into one day! I hope to get back to posting regularly..... 'count on it pee drinking crap face'. Don't get all offended, it's on the Sandlot. And No austy doesn't run around saying that; she's not allowed to say crap. she quotes it as 'count on it.................face!!!!'

baby Easton

He's here. He arrived on Wednesday just like we planned. It seriously couldn't have went better. The c-section went smoothly. And he arrived healthy and adorable as ever. When we arrived they hooked me up to all the machines and started an IV to get me ready. According to the monitors I was having some pretty decent contractions but I never felt a thing. And then when Dr. Robinson opened me up she said my uterus was in pretty bad shape. He was on his way into this world that day no matter what. We just made it a little easier on him. She said my uterus was pretty see-through and was getting a little too thin. Um, scary. A uterus rupture doesn't sound pleasant. But it reinforced our 3 kid, no mini-van plan. So here we are, complete.

Everything is going super well so far. The kids love and adore him. And Brody is doing exceptionally well. I was concerned about him. But he understands soft and for the most part leaves him alone. Austyn is great and is his second mommy. Today while holding him she said 'it's burning, it's burning'. I thought she was quoting a movie and didn't think anything of it until I picked him up off her lap and she was covered in urine. His diaper had leaked all over her and the warm urine must have been 'burning' her!

I'm seriously glowing. When we are in the car, I look in the backseat to see all my babies and I realize how lucky I truly am. They are just great. A hand-full but great. My only complaint is this incision. Its getting in the way of everything. I feel so useless sitting on the couch while Cody is wrestling with the kids. I can't stand seeing my house dirty and me not helping out. Brody is still in the loving, hold me stage and I can't pick him up. Its hard to hold him in my arms because he ends up hitting my incision or my engorged chest. So not pleasent.

Life just seems so perfect right now. I guess we'll see what happens when Easton and I aren't pumped up on percocets. That might make things a little different. But right now life is great. Prepare for picture overload, no commentary because I'm wiped out and he's going to be ready to eat in a few minutes. But still, ENJOY.......

Ahhh, less than 24 hours!

I wanted to do a quick post before he's here. I am ecstatic. I can not believe its here. Tomorrow we are scheduled for 11:00 cesarean. I am going to finally see what this little man looks like, be able to inspect his little body and make sure everything is healthy and accounted for. I'm sure I won't sleep a wink tonight. (like thats any different) sleeping kind of blows when you are 9 months pregnant. Its almost impossible. You know what I am most excited for?? Knowing that this is it. This will be the last time I'm pregnant. The last time I will gain 50 lbs. (We sure hope so.) We've decided 3 is a great number. And we are satisfied. It feels complete. And that way Cody can rest assured that he will never be the owner or a mini-van!!! In Hayley's words. BWaHAHAhAhahah.

Alrighty, the next time I post I will have some freakin awesome pics to add. Stay tuned!!

Brody is 2.

Looking back through the pictures of that night none of them turned out well. How crappy is that?? But it was great. We had family, cake, and a little boy who was ecstatic for his t-ball set, lawn mower, farm, and golf clubs. He had so much fun. As my grandma put it "it was more of a party for us just to see him get in his stance to bat." He loves anything to do with sports. He is so a boy. And we love him. This may come as a shock to you but I had no idea how different little boys are to girls. WOW!!! He is a hand full. A little ball of hell. No joke. The other morning I walked in to find him pajamas unzipped, diaper undone, and poop everywhere. Yeah, I was freaking out. He even stuffed some into his pillowcase. Um, yuck!!! I was telling cody it boggles my mind that he could get off his bed and play with any of his toys but instead he chooses feces???? What? Its so funny. He does not get off his bed until I come into get him. Which in a way is great. But clearly mom better be on the ball from now on.

We are super lucky to have him. He really has changed me, for the better. And he makes this family so much fun. I just can't believe its been two years.

(I know what you are thinking. Who the heck is that skinny lady? She hardly resembles this....

I know, I know. Maybe I shouldn't have had so many 3 Musketeers but I couldn't help myself.

Happy Birthday Toadie. We sure do love you!
